New Hooker 1968-72 A-Body LS Swap System Preview

No they didn't get lost in shipping. The facility/operation there is huge (more than 100,000 square feet) and the pallet containing these crossmembers is no more or less important to receive and check-in to inventory than any other parts that are received by them...it's just another one of thousands of components they will process down there.
After the parts get checked in they will need to get boxed and placed on the shelf and then a product release will get sent out to our distributors and the product will be loaded onto our website. It's a process that is moving towards its completion, but the exact day that will happen is not something that can be predicted.

You are correct Andrew. The mounts currently offered by Holley are for 2292 replacement applications only.

I feel the same way. In the mean time I've been using Samsung Pay to get some ebay gift cards at 10-20% off to have on hand for when it goes on sale. This combined with an ebay bucks promo should make this 20-30% cheaper than retail. Better than nothing. Hopefully Summit or similar can get this thing listed sooner than later.

So, just to be 100% clear, when using the Blackheart headers, and forward mount engine mounts, are these above the correct ones? or below?

Do you use these and the 2292? Or the energy suspension?

Andrew is correct 461rat, everything you've linked there is for the 2292 original style GM clamshell mounts from the early 70's. You need to order mounts, and poly inserts if you want them, for any 1998-2002 V8 F-body car. If you open the listing page for the Hooker mounting brackets on the Holley website and access the instruction sheet there, all the engine mount/ insert part numbers will be listed there.

I might as well throw our project up here. We just dropped an LM7 and 4L60E from a 2003 Escalade into our '68 Chevelle (formerly a 307/powerglide car) using the Hooker mounts, oil pan, and stock crossmember. I am extremely impressed with the fitment of everything.
Next we'll probably order the long tube headers and fuel tank with in-tank pump.

I found this to be quite confusing also idk why!
for this swap system you have a few options..
1. buy GM 4th gen F-Body mounts - PN# - GM22179268 or Anchor 3064
http://www.jegs.com/i/Chevrolet-Perf...79268/10002/-1
2. use the "clam shells" from stock 4th gen mounts and buy the poly inserts for them - PN# - Energy Suspension 3-1151
Basically do you want to buy poly inserts and do some drilling? Or do you want to just add to cart and have stock rubber mounts?
Todd did we finally get this right?

The lower you go with your rear suspension with that 12-bolt, the larger your U-joint operating angles will be. You can run a 1" drop and easily end up with excellent U-joint angles. A 2" drop would be at the limit for not having to cut the tunnel open to adjust angles and anything more than that I wouldn't recommend unless you were running a Ford 9" rear.
Also, somewhere in this thread there is a diagram showing the height of the trans mount vs frame attachment points for the hard top crossmember; is there something similar for the convertible one? I'd like to mock everything up at the right height and make tunnel mods now if necessary, that way when (if?) the crossmember hits the shelves putting it in the car will be easy.
Thanks
