Default Ls1/th350,Stinger, 87 Notchback build

Well deciding to go carb and running into the issues from clearance with the super Vic,stinger plate and carb it was very close. And with basically rewiring the entire car with new gauges I decided to just go ahead and pick up a new roller. Sold the 12 bolt and the car as a roller and picked up my buddies 87 notchback he already had swapped but lost interest in.

When we took the motor out of it.

After we got the fenders on and test for the hood.

Parts starting to pile in.

Picked up double adjustable uppers and tubular lowers from a buddy.

Picked up a aed 850.

Got and aje th350 crossmember.

Picked up dynatech longtubes and an X pipe with mufflers.

We put the motor in and man it took no time at all! I will take a fox body vs an fbody any day and we are really good at having it in and out the bottom lol.

Used the factory fbody hoses and and radiator/fans. Used the factory fox body radiator brackets.

Had a bad rusted drivers floor pan. And got a new one with the car. Cut the old out.

Got the new one fitted in!

Yessir same set up just going carb. Main plans are to cruise and track the car, pretty much done with running on the street. Cars getting a 10 pt cage, kirkeys and some new carpet in the interior still, don't want to be rolling around in a tin can lol.

Here's the last pass on the car from cruising the coast.

Good looking build, The car should be a blast when it's done. Are you still running the super vic? Do you know what size the cowl is and if there is room to run an air filter under it? I have a 93' coupe I am building and I'm going to use a vic jr to start with but I want to make sure I will have enough clearance for if I want to go to a Super Vic later on. Thank's

I believe it's a champion 5" extended. It has some pretty good clearance I have to mount the pins for it. The stinger plate is a lot thicker than most plates so I think you'd be fine idk of I'm gonna runs filter or not yet I didn't with my accufab when it was fuel injected. And yes it's still a super Vic.

Yes and no idea it was the grudge event at cruising the coast so no times. If I had to guess it was around a low 10 or 10.0 was only on a 200 I should've bumped it up lol.

Thanks man I Appreciate it I got it as a roller from a real close friend him and his uncle did a damn good job on the paint and he put a lot of time into it replacing all weather stripping and stuff so I owe a lot of the way it looks to him, I just threw wheels and a motor in it lol! I'm about 3 hours away from the car for work so I work on it as much as I can when up home once in a blue moon hopefully having it going soon enough!
