New Hooker SN95 Mustang LS swap system preview thread
#102
Here's a photo I took of the first production 3" exhaust system out of the welding fixtures. Those of you who are savvy Mustang guys may notice the underside of the car as being a New Edge Mustang and not an SN95. On a hunch we attempted to utilize the system on a New Edge/Coyote swap project we're in the midst of now and if fit perfectly; the headers visible at the top of the photo are a one-off set built for the project.

I can't say for certain at this point, since I've not yet mocked-up an LS engine/GM transmission in the New Edge, but I'm suspecting that the headers will also fit. If they don't, then the New Edge application will be getting it's own specific set of headers. I won't be getting into that application until I wrap up the Fox body swap system, which means sometime in January at the earliest.

Sorry for not knowing, but what is "the new edge"?

I am patiently waiting on this kit! One question, are you guys going to cover t56 transmission issue with how the stock mustangs use cable clutch whereas the t56 of course uses hydraulics?

Hello Jmill. I'm not aware of any plans on the part of Holley to address the LS1 T56 clutch compatibility issue at this time, so you'll need to perform the hydraulic clutch conversion on your car to run a T56.

Thanks, I think the full-length system and muffler/dumps system with both be appreciated by those that use them in their swaps. I also hope to see more Mustang swaps out there in the coming year.

I'm home the rest of the week and will get an update for you on Monday. The release roadblocks are all related to internal document and supplier (engine adapter plates) detail requirements at this point and shouldn't take much longer to finalize.
