That's what I used in my 67 GS and it works great.

That tiny little flimsy pedal scares me. I bought one and pitched it in the trash.
I used a stock 88-98 chevy truck pedal and bracket. Just threw the original cover from my 69 Nova on the arm.

Joe could you post a pic of the setup you have. I also have a pedal from a 95 truck. I was thinking about modifying it I make it work.

Did you get it with the plastic holder?

I just bolted the plastic piece to the firewall and then slotted the loop at the top of the pedal to use a stock 99+ truck cable on my swap.

I don't see what is wrong with what you have in the original post.

I'm currently using a throttle pedal from a random 2000's era Monte Carlo with a custom bracket and a cable from something else I picked up on the same salvage yard run. I made a custom throttle bracket on the intake and the cable housing has a threaded end so it's adjustable. This setup is temporary and I'll be switching to 58x drive by wire later this year / early next.

For what you paid for that fancy pedal, you should be able to grab the DBW pedal,TAC,harness,TB and PCM from a Silverado at your local pick and pull.
I was wary of the DBW set up until I tried it,doubt I would go back to futzing
around with a cable set up on a swap again...

I agree. Drive by wire is by far the best way to go, especially in an older chassis like this where mechanical linkage was present. In my opinion drive by wire really can't be beat unless you need something where a kick down cable or other device mechanically activated by throttle opening is involved.
