LM7 turbo T56 build questions
I have a LOT of questions for my build coming up. Unsure of where to put a project/question thread so if need be please move this one.
truck is a 2000 S10 with a 2.2 and a 4L60E transmission. Installing a T56 and a 5.3 into it. read here that a LS1 from a 99 Camaro ECU and Harness will work which is why I went ahead and bought one. I read that people are using a custom fuse box. It seems that the OBDII connection is already in the truck still as it is connected to the body side of the harness. I have the wire harness for the motor and ECU removed already from the 2.2 stuff. How am I able to tie these in? It maybe simple, but I'm not great with wiring and getting a little worried I guess is the word. The harness is from a 99 Camaro t56 car. trying to figure it out without tearing things apart. truck will not have AC, Radio, and the only thing I plan on running is the alternator and power steering. (I also would like to know where I could get a belt that would work and if I should use LS1 or LS2 accessory brackets.) any help would be appreciated. sorry the post is so long winded. will try to get pictures up soon but photobucket pretty much is no more.

Yeah, give it a little time while the guys here mull over your situation before giving their usual concrete answers...

That's fine. patience is a virtue. it's not like I'm building right now, just looking for info before I even start. I like to know what I'm getting into. besides, I always find info around on here regardless of how long it may take.
sorry I didn't get pics. Work schedule is a little off for the time being. should clear up by next week.

Also I see people boosting 5.3s with stock bottom ends pushing 700-800hp. How reliable can this be? Most people run drag races so they can cool off the car. I plan on road courses with my build.

Some pics maybe sideways. I think I fixed em. I found some on my phone. Plan is to cage it, box in the rest of the frame, offset 3-link in the rear, coilovers in the rear, coils and shocks in the front. 18x8 in the front with 18x10 in the rear, and a fuel cell (which i'll have questions on later.)

For a fuse panel I did find this. http://www.currentperformance.com/sh...erelay-module/ does anyone know what wires would need to be connected in order to make this work as far as the LS1 harness goes?

I have been on and off of there. main thing is I already have the harness in hand and would like to mod what I have if possible. not trying to blow anyones suggestions off or anything, just would rather not spend another 700 dollars I can put elsewhere into the motor. If I don't have a choice, then I don't ya know. not to mention I have a few tings to do to the supra to get her running as well.

I was suggesting maybe ask on S10 forum if anyone can answer your question on your
post #10, several of those guys use the Current stuff and maybe they could answer your question pretty easy.
I'm not pushing the Current Stuff, that Stuff is way to Expensive for me.

I think the issue is that you're asking for very specific info in a not very specific way.
Do you have wiring diagrams for both harnesses?
Have you determined what you can eliminate from the harnesses?
Is the motor in the truck?
Have you attempted to run what harnesses you do have or compared connectors?
s10forum will absolutely be your best bet.
This thread in particular should be helpful even though the harness isn't exactly the same.

There's a reason the Current stuff is expensive--it's because it doesn't require much thought or time figuring it out and it's quality stuff. Plug, play, drive.
