New Porsche swap
Well im back with a new car to swap. I have missed my last 911 so much I have bought a new car to do.
Its a running 99 with 138k mi, the engine will be pulled and up forsale immediately. Current plans are for a lq4 with a mild cam. More to come when the car actually shows up.....

That LQ4 iron block is gonna weigh that back end down. Wouldn't you rather use an aluminum block?

It's not about the ride level. An aluminum block will remove weight from behind the rear axle and make for far more balanced handling. If it sits too high with the aluminum block, lower it! That extra 100# aft of the axle WILL affect handling, and not to the good.

If it was a race car or hpde you may tell the difference but on the street I doubt you will ever tell it.
kieferskustoms Has his iron block build here and it seems fine....

Welcome back .I think there is a 80 pound difference in the two blocks -not a big deal for a street car . The 1999 electronics are a lot easier -you will probably have this one finished in two months............

Where are you selling your Porsche engine?
I still have mine sitting in the garage because I'm not sure how I want to sell it.
I was thinking eBay, but freight shipping is a pain.

Thanks guys,
Sorry no turbo ....
I hope that it will go smooth. I am going to start getting a engine and parts together soon.
I need to sell my 65 Mustang (in the classifieds now) before I go crazy ordering stuff!

Hey Amille, unfortunately they wont be in the budget at this point. I did find a 5.3 cheap and thought about a 383 kit but it to would put me over budget. Maybe a little later a better engine will happen.

Subbed for the ride.
Just throw a LS9 cam($106) and Blue GM LS6 springs in and roll it. This is good for 400+ flywheel.
OR waste A LOT of money (plugging sponsors) for this:
