That's why I said mostly GT cars with traction control. Mine is a 04 V6 Premium w/o traction control and ABS. It might be a add on.

I have heard of folks mounting a 36-1 trigger wheel to the crank, and mounting the Ford crank position sensor to the timing cover to get the tach to work. The speedo would have to be adapted with a Dakota Digital box, and you could adapt a Ford ECT and oil pressure sender to make the other two work. Question is.....would you really WANT to? The Ford PCM doesn't control anything else in the car, so if you ditch it and the cluster for a tablet or something, you'll be fine.

If the budget allows I planned on going autometer for most of it. All I’m really worried about is the tach, oil pressure, oil temp and tranny temp.

I promise I’ll make some progress on this thing in the next week or two. I just bought a wrecked s10 from an insurance auction to do a quick flip on for some more mustang monies lol. Only 101k miles and a 4.3 4l60e truck. I have to bust it out to make room in the garage to work on the mustang

No room for activities

All tacked up.

Need to add in my o2 sensor bungs and wastegates but the main part is there.

Plan on running the downpipe out the passanger side fender...or the hood... idk, leaning towards the fender

What’s the rules on running a fuel cell in the trunk area?

Am I going to need to make a firewall or anything like that between the trunk and interior area if I was to run a cell?

I’ve been thinking about it and I like the idea of running a cell so I can mount my trans cooler (when I buy one) where the factory tank was so if something was to spew fluid out, it would be away from the rear tires.

Also I plan on running a aem 380lph external pump. Will one pump support 500-600hp or will I need to run 2?

I have bought a couple small things here or there for it, Holley thermostat housing, 90 degree silicone coupler for the cold side, dei header wrap, and a stainless steel trim ring for running my downpipe out the fender or bumper from monkey fab. I haven’t got the trim ring yet but I tell you what, the personal email message from Michael at monkey fab thanking me I thought was awesome. Just something you don’t see everyday.

Thanks man and deal on meeting up at the track! Honestly I don’t know many car guys so adding another to my small list is a win win.

Here’s a picture of it when it was tacked together off the car. I’m going to run this hotside this year and redo it next winter. Lmao, let’s just say I need some more practice with a welder. I like the way it’s all routed though.

Having a 8.8 delivered to me Friday. Luck would have it I was ready to make the 6hr round trip but the guy selling it is driving by my way Friday.

Questions for you guys. Already contacted a local chassis shop about welding on 9” ends and welding the tubes to the housing. Should I brace it while it’s having all this done to it? Was thinking team z’s Kit or have them fab something up. The plan for the car is 500-600hp but as a man, you will always want more power down the line. Is bracing over kill for my hp goals though?

Planning on moser 33 splines, spool and their 9”’ends

If It's out and you want it you might as well do it now.

I wouldn’t think twice. Strange 35 spline here with Ford 9 ends and also braced.

The axle tubes are only spot welded to the center section, they can and will twist if not at least welded all the way around. That's the weakest link besides the C clips.

Stampede.

I for sure planned on having the tubes welded to the housing. Just wasn’t sure on having it braced.

What kind of cost are you looking at to have all the rear end work done? I have an 8.8 I haven't swapped in yet because of winter I'm thinking while its out I could have it beefed up a bit. I think were in different regions I'm just curious of a ball park cost.
