Default 84 c10 Turbo 5.3

Found this thing less then a 1/4 mile from the house. Got it for 400 bucks with a clean title. There is some rust on the cab and doors but nothing I'm too worried about. Engine will be a gen 3 5.3, sloppy stage 2, billet 7875, 4l80. This is the combo I was going to put in the mustang I was building but I just couldn't get motivated to build a car so I got another c10.

looking for a converter and on a budget of course. Thinking about freakshow. I believe last time I called he said around 600-650 for a single disk billet cover. 9.5 inch. Not bad I didn't think. Any other suggestions?

just a little surface rust. Came out looking pretty good.

I'll be leaving this down. Looked pretty good under it where I pulled it up.

Ordered a bunch of parts today. New engine mounts for the frame. New slider engine mounts, trans cooler with electric fans, fuel rails,FPR, fuel lines, dual pass radiator, Freakshow 9.5 billet converter for the 80e (3400-3600-stall), and a few other small things. Should have lots to do when I get back in from work. Dunno no if anyone will bash me for going with freakshow but I have had great dealings with him in the past. And 700 bucks shipped for a billet 9.5 isnt a bad price.

It's seems really awesome and easy to use. It'll do more then I'll need it to. I got that particular one since I am running deka 80s and wouldn't have to use adapters on the injectors. Everything else should be the same

Just got back in from work and opened up all my boxes. Everything looked pretty good. Cheap AliExpress fuel rails look decent for 25ish bucks. I'm happy with the budget purchases

Not in order but you can see the issue I had with the cheap fuel rails. One hole lined up on each side but the other was a bit off. I just cut the bracket, flipped the piece I cut over and welded it back. It worked decent.

decided to use a bulkhead fitting on the timing cover for the drain. Once I drilled the hole and test fit I had a bit of interference with a bolt holding the oil pump on. You can see where it was barely hitting. So I ground the nut down and it cleared. I got lucky on that one for sure.

the bracket that came with the oil cooler wasn't going to work to mount the fan so I came up with something else. Painted the valve covers ,timing chain cover and lifter cover with wrinkle black. Knock sensor grommets will be here tomorrow and I'll install the cover back.

Mail just came. Same one Matt is using on the 8f8 build. Pretty decent quality. Seems better then some of the other cheap ones I've got on eBay. I believe it was less then 30 shipped on AliExpress.

got the intercooler mounted. Had to bring down the grill just a little too clear the corners of the intercooler. Made some decent progress today.
