Mustang LS1 91 coupe **PICS**
I have posted on here before talking about my plans for my LS1 6speed coupe. I work at Hawks Third Generation and we are coming along with the conversion. Even though we have along way to go. I want everything to be right so we are taking our time, considering its the first one we've done. Just some pics of the motor and 6speed going in and the cutting we had to do on the stock k-member. We are going to box the k-member back in from where we had to take some off to clear the oil pan. I wanted to use a stock k-member so that is the reason for all the extra work. I will keep the updates rolling in and it should be on the road by the end of July.

The plans for the car right now is N/A with bolt ons. We are going to use MAC longtubes and cut the flanges off and weld LS1 flanges to them to use with the setup. I am going to try to make the car as light as possible. I have many ideas on the t56. we are making LS1 pedal brackets to use in the coupe. SO i will have Ls1 pedals, that way we can mount the master close to the pedal just like the Fbodies and hook it up to the pedal just as it would in a Fbody.
The car will have headers, pulley, intake, 4.10 gears, spec stage 3 , pro 5.0 and a lot of weight taken off. I wont to keep it simple until everthing is put together and see how it runs pretty much stock in the coupe. There are plans in the future for a magnacharger.

now THAT'S what I'm talking about...hurry up and get that clutch pedal **** done!
I'm using a 4.6 K in mine to make it easier, and I'm going SN brakes/etc anyway, but it looks great!

cool swap.
in the last 2 pics it looks like you cut the k-frame to make the ls1 fit.
i'm assuming you have came to the conclusion that reinforcing this area would be a wise idea.......
for those who don't know, mustangs are known to flex at this point. anything that you can do to it (weld, braces, ect) help to keep the car from twisting into a pretzel...

Yes i am boxing the k-member back in for sure. I went with the stock k-member because i wanted to keep stock driveability and just wanted to do it a little different.

that's cool do you have any pics of how close you are to the firewall? I set mine in today too. Also have you selected what headers your going with and how are they gonna fit? looks like a tight squeeze in mine. I would post pics but the file size is too big.
