Would like to find an LS engine and use the AFM system on my '67 Suburban 4x4. Just doing research right now as this will take a while to get everything planned out.
Hoping to convert to an LS engine with AFM system when I get all the research and necessary parts in order.
Good to see more 67-72 Chevy/GMC Truck guys here!

I'm in the process of probably selling the truck off, selling the house hastily, and moving to a new one. I tore the truck back down to the suspension and notched the frame to bag it ... and it's sat that way for almost 20 months now? It's not going to get done, and it can't really be in the house when it's sold (nor for the viewings....)

Don't give up,
I went through divorce and 10 yrs of child support payments, my 12yr old daughter lives with us ,new G/F, but it's been 7 yrs already for us,
cover it up during the showings, I plan to have mine rolling, then put my house up for sale, I need more space, after all the work you've done you'll reget selling it, or have you completely lost interest??

Already sold. New owner is coming to pick up this weekend. He and his teenage son are putting it together.
It's not that I've lost interest. I have all the parts. I just don't have the time and I'm in a position where it's easier to sell than it is to complete. The choice was not easy, and I already have buyer's remorse about getting rid of the drivetrain...but next one will be bigger and better?
I have a line on a GenII Camaro right now, waiting to see if it goes through or not. Who knows what may happen?

Don't worry, the story will continue. The truck should be finished in the next 4-6 months by the new owner, and I feel like he's got the same general vision as what I had. He will also be documenting the buildup, possibly in this thread (we'll see), but if not, I'll be sure to come back and link to his thread here or at the 67-72chevytrucks.com forum so folks can see it from start to finish.
Yes, it was hard letting go, especially for about 60% less than the value of the sum total of parts, but I hope the new owner can basically sell off the extras and recoup his money... The only thing I have seller's remorse about is the drivetrain (engine/tranny/headers, ~$4200) and the gauges ($875), because I could have used them in my next project. But ... maybe the next build will use a GenV SBC? Hmmm .....

blazer ls swap
To: Anybody who can help
just started my swap project. currently cleaning up my donor engine and getting ready to tackle the wiring harness. engine came out of an 05 yukon i got it complete with all acc. and wiring harness along with tac module and pedal.
im wanting to stay with my sm465 4spd. (in town driving and playing in the mtns of beautiful wyoming) The main question i have right now is, how much of the wiring harness can i get rid of by using my sm465? and we have no emissions testing here so what sensors can i remove ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Well I am subscribing to this thread in hopes that Shifty may return with the finished truck pics or something. Sad to hear about the truck. I get it though. I am going to do this swap in a 72 Blazer 2wd with a 3.73 Posi. I have owned this Blazer for 30 years so I WILL finish this. I sold my house and moved but took my projects with me. Just tarped them in the back yard and the house sold in two days for over the asking price. Lucky me! I started to build this truck into a SBC Muncie 4 speed build with no money at all and was doing fine until we moved into the house I just sold. The thread is on 67-72 Chevy trucks called "NO DAGGUM MONEY" Then I found the 99 Trans Am and shifted to the LS1 Swap. Now I have a rebuilt 4 speed Saginaw and a not rebuilt 4 speed Muncie to get rid of. Do you have to donate to this forum like the 67-72?
