i was thinking of stopping adding parts to my ws6 and buying a 89-91 lx mustang to make the drag car. can i put a ls1 or 2 in a stang body and keep the computer,fuel injection,things like that? any info on this project would be helpful.....also, i didn't know where to post this so i put it here.

Yes it can be done and it has been done numerous times. Here is my friends LX with ls6 heads and a iron block.

there are lots of guys doing the mustang thing in the hybrids section. do you mean keeping all the ls1 stuff or keepiing the mustang stuff? if you use all the ls1 stuff shouldn't be a problem if you know how to cut and weld.

DOPEFEDZ-wow,that look bas azz. what is the set up? how fast is it going?
ROCKET93-i want to keep all the ls1 stuff in a mustang bogy. rather then rip apart my ta,i thought i could add all the ls1 goodies into a stang body. the stang is alot lighter and i would make it even lighter,w/a ls1 head and camed motor the thing should go way faster then my 3,600lbs ta.
