Default Remote clutch bleeder?

I've just received a new transmission from RPM Transmissions, and when I do the swap I want to relocate the clutch bleeder to somewhere under the hood. Bleeding the clutch in the Z3 right now is

What kits are others using to accomplish this? Anyone try this from Summit?

I drilled a hole in my tunnel to get a socket on the bleeder screw from inside the car, and then plugged the hole with a rubber stopper when I was done. For the final bleeding, I use a vacuum pump on the reservoir per the GM TSB.

Do a search in the Transmission section. A friend of mine and I bought self bleeders from a guy on this site. One man operation, quality set up.

Thanks for the tip! I searched the tranny forums and found some posts by steve-d who was offering remote bleeder kits. I've emailed him, hopefully he's still offering the service.

Default Try L.A.P.D.

L.A.P.D. sells one. I have it on my C5 and it's very nice.

I think steve-d is who we got ours from. His bleeders are LS1 specific. The one on Summit, if it fits, when you figure in shipping, is like $52. Way too much. I don't remember what my friend and I paid but if it was more than $30 or so, I would have said forget it. It is a good mod because before all I had was problems bleeding the line. Good luck.

I received a quote from steve-d last week. Extended bleeders with new one piece 35" hose are currently available at $85.00 + $4.50 S & H. IMO, still a good mod idea. I will be ordering one this week.

Yes he is. I just picked up a bleeder extension a month or so ago. It will go on my car when I replace the clutch next month.

$80+ is INSANE. I just went out to my shop and looked at mine. There is a fitting that goes into the throw out bearing, about 18" of hydraulic line and a fitting to bleed the line. That's it!!! If steve-d, is who me and my friend bought the extenders from, then he is now getting super greedy. That price is total BS. He should be banned by a moderator if that's the case.
