Default New GM Oil Pan Kit with part number

Hey guys, I did a search on here and didnt find this part number coming up, so here it is.

This is the part number for the new LH8 oil pan kit available from GMPP dealers and maybe 'regular' dealers as well.

PN 19212593.

That number is for the kit that includes the pan, pump pick up, dipstick, hardware, gaskets, and windage tray as well I think. I just ordered this myself, and it was $285 with tax (Canadian GST) which is a pretty killer deal considering. Call your GMPP dealer for exact details.

To add to this, if you didnt know this pan originates from the 2008 Hummer H3 Alpha (whatever that is).

I keep seeing all sorts of different pans being used on all the different swaps. Is this the best one to use on a first gen F body?

According to BRP Hotrods (www.BRPHotRods.com), the LH8 is offers the best clearance with little or no modification. The only problem I see with it is the height - it's a full 2+ in taller than an F-body pan. Of course, an F-body pan must be notched at the front of the sump to fit first-gen Camaros/'Birds and 3rd-gen Novas.

Here's a link to their LH8 kit.

I can't find that part number either. Maybe SD or someone will pop in and offer it.

Im just a normal dude, dont work ROP. I managed to get a super helpful guy at my local GMPP dealer and he did some digging and called GM engineers and got the info on the LH8 kit. It is very new. I got the PN from him on the 25 on Aug and he didnt have a price yet and couldnt order it. I called today, Sept 2, and he looked in the system and it had a price and said its good to order, so I did, and he says 2 weeks or so delivery.

Sorry, I was thinking something else. No, Im not a member of real olds power either. The 72 is sort of a family heir loom sort of thing. The 87 is a 'g body that fit the bill' when I was searching for a car to do an LS engine project with.

Default Different PNs in US??

That is the PN that Curtis gave me (and ordered for me). Maybe the part numbers are different in the US?? I dont know. I can tell you this is a VERY new part number, when I originally called and asked him about 'LH8' stuff, he didnt even know what I was talking about. Like I said, after he called the engineers / people on the inside he told me the part number but didnt have a price yet. When I called today, he had a price and could order it. Its VERY new. Other dudes might not get as lucky as me and get as helpful sales person on the phone.

Dude also did some digging on a front engine drive assembly for me, there is a kit in the 08 GMPP catalog that says its for muscle car applications or something for LS1/6 conversions, but doesnt state what parent car it comes from. He found out its from a CTS-V and the engineers told him that it would fit my specific project. This guy is very helpful.

Your part number probably is good, just hasn't hit the database yet. I posted the P/N's above to help out anyone looking for just the pan and/or pickup.

The front accessory kit from the catalog isn't in the system yet either, I've been following that one and have a listing of the individual components.

Front accessory kits are out and have been out for a while. They use the corvette style setup. I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago and received it early last week.

Check out the sticky at the top of this conversion forums to see the difference between the CTSv pan and the Hummer H3 Alpha pan.

the pan fits well, I just used one, hangs a tad low, but I'm just going to build a skid plate from 1/4" steel plate I have leftover from making engine mounts and weld it to the crossmember

THIS IS THE BEST THING I'VE BOUGHT FOR MY SWAP PERIOD. RELIEVED A TON OF HEADACHES!!!!
