i can only assume that JEsse didnt do much to my computer, he is very vague with reguards to what he does. he doesnt remember talking to you earlier in the same day, he cant say what he did to your computer, just that " if you wrote it down i did it" which doesnt tell me anything. it really doesnt seem to have as much power as i thought it would, but i might have just been building it up in my head. 3.73 and 31's i would think when i lay into it, it would light the tires like i was on ice, but it just barks and takes off.

i told him to decrease torque management and he said that he doesnt like doing that because it makes the tranny go out alot faster, i always thought a tranny slipping made a tranny go out faster, but WTF do i know right!

What exactly did you have wait4me change in your tune? I'm thinking just turning off vats, deleting emissions, rear o2s, and deleting TM wouldn't change much at all in regards to MPG. Is your speedo correct? How did you figure the gas mileage? I would try several tanks, then average them. I don't know what my wagon weighs, probably 4 or 5 thousand pounds I'd guess, and I've got over 20 MPG from time to time.

i would love to know what jesse did to it, i asked for all the emmisions stuff to be gone, lower tq management, change for my gears and tire size, and whatever he thought would be right for a jeep, i called him and asked him after the fact, and he blames the tranny. which had 28k on it when i bought it, and shows no signs of wear.

I'm sure GM put the torque management it there to prolong the life of the trans, but I can't see removing it lowering it to 15,000. Before there was such a thing as TM, a trans would go 100,000 or so. Maybe you should just put a shift kit in it?

He must have changed his stance on that since he tuned my PCM then, because he completely removed my TQ MGT.

Jesse just did my computer a month ago, he removed all but a very very small amount of tq management.

From my experiences with him is hes OK, he did do exactly what I told him to do, nothing more, nothing less. I forgot to ask him to remove VATS and he didn't, even knowing it was a swap.

Wait4me has very bad reviews. Get a better tuner. Charlie Wheatley is one of the best mail order tuners around.

The thing is though, even with a **** *** tune, there's no way you should be getting 10mpg in that tiny little wrangler. After I had my 6.0 installed, I drove back from Indy to St. Louis. It's about 375 miles I believe, and very flat. With the cruise on 65 or so I got 23.5 mpg! No bullshit. I hand calculate my mileage at every fill up. That was with 3.42 gears and 30" tires. And that was also with my truck's 550lb original engine in the bed. So with all told I'd say my total weight on that trip was about 57-5800lbs. I live in the city and rarely drive on the highway, and my overall mileage is always about 12.8-13.0. If I get on it a lot it drops down to 11.5.

gcmtrk thats what I was thinking sounds about rite mpg city/highway. That 5.3 should be getting the same. Only thing I can think of besides the tune would be if he has some mager exhuast leaks.

I'd suggest you get a local tuner to hook up, and drive the truck... make some logs, and correct what's wrong..

Thats bullshit. If the truck already has a weak trans then yes it most likely will start slipping with no tm, but if its a good trans it wont.

Id get a different tuner and have them do it right, and take out the tm. I would put a shift kit in it when you do just to be safe.

he did mine for me, I haven't checked in town, but on the highway I have seen as high as 24mpg with a slightly heavy foot and several WOT runs

i dunno about the torque management, i had asked for it to be removed but never considered he didn't...I know if I nail it from a stop it doesn't spin much if any but i thought it was just a combo of cam and stock converter

If your talking about the Chevelle it depends on how big his cam is. With a good sized cam and a stock converter it doesnt surprise me at all that it doesnt spin the tires.

Edit: "Comp custom grind 230/224 cam" Thats from his cardomain, it doesnt surprise me at all that it doesnt spin the tires from a stop.

so would having 4.5 feet of exhaust with through mufflers hurt, my O2's are as close to the collector for the headers as they could be without getting in the way of the 3 bolt flange
