Hi, me and a mate have built two 240sx with 2004 gto motors in, Mine was used on a track the first time in april 2007. The 2004 GTO pump seems a bit to powerfull, i had powersteering for a day before i think it blew out O-rings in the steering rack.
Are you just using a stock Camaro powersteering pump and a stock nissan steering rack? Have you lowered the pressure?
Im wondering if i should try to fit a stock Camaro pump on my engine.

I'm using a Turn One power steering pump, stock rack, cooler, -6 SS lines everywhere. I haven't had any real issues with the steering. The rack is leaking from the seal where the steering shaft goes in, but I think it was leaking there before the swap also. I'm getting a reman rack as part of my rebuild this winter, so hopefully no more leaks.

got my engine running in my coupe now, just sorting out why it won't rev past 3000rpm :S
and you didn't make it to the Pro-Am finals?! thought for sure you would have!

thank you so much thels1lover for posting on this thread if not for that i would have never found it and miro if you happen to get this great job i got an ls1with a steel bellhousing and ford t5 five speed. was gonna put it in a miata but you switched me over to the 240 more room lol and a roof.. lol and for those wondering i like the 5 speeds and if i could get a 4 speed i would but mainly because of all the clutch problims with the t56 in swaps like the miata and 240. but i wont have a spedo but i'll just keep it in there to make me move faster lol... but great job...

Hey guys. Thanks for the good words and the bump on this thread!
Like previously said, I have rebuilt the car completely twice already since I stopped updating this thread. You can check out all the pictures on my site here:
http://mirodrift.com/media/
Or go through the Club Loose thread posted above or the Ziptied thread here:
http://www.ziptied.com/forums/index.php?topic=30311.750
The car now has the GMPP LS376/480 engine, which should be making something like 425hp-450hp to the wheels. I don't think there's a single part on the car that's still the same from the original build... haha. Here's how it looks now:

![](http://mirodrift.com/wp-content/gallery/2011-events/dmcc_rd1_02.jpg)
Anyway, I'll try to post some updates in this thread in the future. I'll actually be building a whole new chassis for 2012 since the current car is not legal in Formula Drift and the chassis is bent from the last couple of run-ins I've had with the wall. So stay tuned!
