What oil are you guys running in your motors? Brand and weight

mobie 5w30. 75 psi warm at a 900rpm idle with with an lpe high volume pump. K&N 3001(i think) remote mount filter. It's the same as a PH8a.

For break-in, I'll be using Quaker State 10W30 dino oil. After break-in, I have a couple of 6-packs of Mobil-1 10W30 full-synthetic. (I would've preferred 5W30, but beggars can't be choosers - I had a Costco coupon for $9 off per 6-pk, & 10W30 is what they had available...)

Since we're on the subject, (& I hope you'll pardon the hijack) I'm giving serious thought to using one of these oil filters - one of my good friends is a hardcore car-guy, very into the science behind car stuff, & he's been kind of impressed by what he's heard/read about them. Anyone here have any info about them??

Is Mobile 5000 from the same company as Mobile 1?

Also, I understand you could use high mileage non synthetic oil for a high mileage engine, but is synthetic always a superior choice?
