cool...I have seen the other option posted on here of using the 98-02 Fbody pacesetters..they require denting a few tubes and frame trimming. If you didn't have to dent any tubes then the truck header looks to be a good option. I found the pacesetters for $279 uncoated $399 coated listed on Maryland Speed with free shipping.
Cashed.....I haven't done this swap but I would think you can retain your stock cross member. .may need to move back/forward a few inches and either drill new holes or use a different set of hole in the frame. A 4l80e should be very close to th400 size

I think I might make up an excuse to make a trip back down to Clovis once I leave this sand box and come check it out here in a few months, I might even bring Lisa and Cameron down.

I'm glad this thread came back around. I have a friend who is getting ready to start on this same swap in a '69. I printed all of this off for him, (good pictures) but I have a question for *lsxyj* , or anyone else who has done this swap. What did you do about the gas tank and fuel system? It seems to me, that an in tank pump, mounted in the original type tank behind the seat, would make for a very annoying ride. Looking forward to any updates. Ron

Thanks guys. Any other tips you'd care to share?...like, did you do your own wiring harness?... who re-programed your computers?... and the biggest one..if you've completed the swap, how did it turn out..performance wise, and the gas mileage thing?? Ron
