Thanks a lot 62pala, i really like this car, it's the first car i had when i was 16, now i'm 23 !!! started with a v-6 haha !!
LSJM1, when I bolted up the manifold on the engine in the car, i saw that the opening was near the frame so I cutted straight 1 and a half inch before the flange. after that, I cutted the manifold to get rid of the extra angles i didn't needed and turned the flange before welding to make it easy to bolt up the exhaust on it. hope you understand my bad english !

haha !! yeah he also have that little french/québécois accent at WOT !!!, I would like to change the mufflers for some flowmaster super44 but i'm not sure, cops are not always behind me for my sound, and i'm scared to put 300$ of mufflers under the car and needing to get them off after 2 weeks. i really plan on putting a good stall on that thing, but I'm not sure of which would be ideal.
I run the stock truck accessories but it's really thight.

band aid, everything i have on my engine will work on your 5.3 same intake, it's the 7118 kit from edelbrock, i've made my own mounts, cutted and welded the pan with tube and strainer. you can do the exact same thing on your 5.3
03heavychevy, yes everything on the engine is original, same water pump even upper hose fits, kept the original fan, flywheel , alternator is too high but ok and same power steering pump with original hoses and fittings.
s10-den, tail pipes are from polished stainless steel tube

Thats a beautiful car man. Nice job on the install. Im doing a similar setup (see sig), and I got a couple questions for you.
I seen the alternator is ground down, how much clearance do you have for the stock hood?? And that air cleaner clears good too hey??
Also, that oil filler, I think you can pop that extra neck off, and just screw the car straight into the valve cover. Nothing major, just cleans things up a bit.
And, you dont have a pic of the coolant hoses installed, Im curious to see how yours went using the truck setup. Can you pop a pic of the complete install??
Thanks.

hi cutlass 455, the alternator is very thight, maybe there is a smaller alternator that could bolt up here but i didn't tried. now there is maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch of clearance with the hood, air filter also is very very thight, it's the most possible low profile i could find but i now bought a new filter top element and needed to cut the braces under the hood. and I already did the oil filler tube thing !! the edelbrock box is made by msd but is not programmable like the real msd which is better cause it allow you to create a custom timing curve instead of using 6 different timing "pills" and i will try to take some pictures of the hoses .
