Default Fuse Box Ideas !!!

Hello, I am in the middle of modifying my ls1 harness for my 68 camaro and i'm looking for fuse/relay box ideas. I'm not against buying new but a junk yard one would also work. Any ideas with pics would be great!

Thanks

Well it depends on how much stuff you will be running, but I like the LT1 ones, they are small and there is quite a few circuits in them. If I remember right they can hold 10 Relays and 12 Fuses..

Have wondered the same thing myself, how to connect the engine wiring to the under-dash wiring. I'm doing a modified LQ9 into a '67 Camaro. I'm subscribing for good ideas!

Current Performance has a box made just for the LSx swap. I used it,,,, at $95 it's a really good deal.

A fuse/Relay module that contains relays and wiring for Electric Fans, Fuel Pump, A/C, & Starter.
6 ignition power circuits and 2 battery power circuits All labeled with instructions. Base is 5"x5.5"

Good Luck

i used the factory 99 camaro fue box and combined them into one. it was easy since most of the wires were already connected.

I have used this from Current Performance Wiring. Its compact, simple, expandable, and comes with instructions. Price is very reasonable as well.

Does it have to be mounted inside the car or is it weather (water) proof/resistant?

It's just as weather/water proof as any of the factory fuse blocks under the hood.

Thanks. I have a fuse block designed to be mounted under the hood that is potted on the back where the wires connect to the fuse terminals. It is made by painless. What I don't like about it is there is a 10 amp max current on the fuses. I don't know if that is related to the heat generated from it being potted or the size of the wires connected to the terminals.

I purchased the Current Performance SA-1000 LS1 Stand Alone Conversion Module for 109$ from ez 2 wire hot rod. Very straight fwd and most wires are even colored coded same as the ls1 harness wires. It is mounted under the hood

I just bought the Painless empty fuse blocks for about $5 a piece, and wired it all up. Neat, clean, and best of all, under the dash, so no underhood clutter. I know the other pieces are easy to use, AND factory pieces, buy my 79 didn't have any big black plastic boxes under the hood like those.

I did the same as SatisTraction. Used the underhood harness along with the engine harness from my 99 SS parts car. Removed unneeded wires. Mounted computer and underhood fuse/relay panels (2) where the glove box use to be. Harness was long enough to reach. Only wires I had to lengthen were to the radiator fans and coolant level sensor (sensor not needed to run but I'm using all the 99 gauges and idiot lights). Used one of the 99 fusible links from the 99 fuse panel to power the stock fuse panel in my 66 Rambler American. Worked fairly simple and inexpensive since I had the parts.
