Help with 99-02 cluster in 98 car please!
1998 Trans Am, formerly A4
Now: 2000 LS1/T56
2000 harness and PCM
2000 fuel tank and sending unit
Everything is wired in and working with the exception of the 99-02 instrument cluster. That is my only concern, and my only thing left to do. What specifically do I need to do to make this cluster work?
What I do know is that I do NOT need to swap to a 99+ dash harness, and that 98 uses 35 wires for the instrument cluster where as 99+ only uses 17 due to data being recieved through a serial data wire. This is the most in depth info I have been able to find after a couple hours worth of searching. Not very in depth

I suppose pinouts for the 98 and 99+ instrument clusters would help a lot. I was able to find a pinout for the 99+ but not the 98. There is one thread for 98 cluster pinout that shows up in the search but it is a dead link!
I cannot for the life of me find a pinout for the 98 clusterCan anyone here help me out? This is all I need to do and the car is DONE!
Thanks!

The diagrams on Auto Zones site are very general and useless. No pin numbers and most of the time the wire colors are wrong.
