Another item I had put off was getting the chin spoiler to fit. This was originally designed for the 84-86 Charger 2.2 that had the 4 headlight front bumper cover so in order to make it look right it took some thought on how to contour it to the lower part of the earlier bumper. I sectioned it 5" and had to trim the top of it most of the way across the front. You'll see it has an extra body line that is about 9/16" wide that also needs to be "welded" in and have the cuts welded back together. I'm going to let LKQ/Keystone take care of the plastic welding and filling. They did such a great job on the bumper cover and for the cost it's not worth it for me to do it. I know that when it's painted to match the car it'll look outstanding.

The chinspoiler is back from keystone. Of course a nice job of welding the 3 pieces back together. Anyway, yestarday I addressed a couple things that I needed to redo or change. I pulled out the 3.55 posi unit and put in the 3.08 posi differential, much better cruising rpm because this car is wearing some small 195/50-15's so with the 3.55 unit even in overdrive the engine was humming pretty good at 70mph. The inner cv joints were spitting grease ever since I got this thing going so of course I fixed those too while I had them out. I also did the final polish on 2 of the "swiss cheese" wheels, just 2 more to go. Getting the rims polished is no small task trust me. I took a pic of the cheese wheels and a pic of one of the cars original pizza wheels for comparison because they were very similar in condition when I started. Now you can see the reflection of the spray bottle. Don't ask how long it takes, all I can say is it takes lots of will power to get to the finished product.

Nice build man. I'm a huge fan of the Turbo Dodges.. Have had a couple Turbo Omnis, a Lancer, Spirit, & my personal favorite Intercooled TII/A555 LeBaron GTC, Power everything, cold AC, Perfect Bright red, & bone stock (God I miss that car!!!)

I feel for you on polishing the wheels up. That is an absolute nightmare. Even if the car sits out of the elements and in the garage it seems like they will get dirty lol. Every thing is looking top notch though.

BTW thought it would be good to mention... Next time you touch the wheels up get the wheels rebalanced with the weights put on the inside. The wheels look too good to have the ugly weights sitting on the outside.

Today was the first big show of the season, the 25th Spring extravaganza at the state fairgrounds. It wasn't as big as it should've been because this week has been pretty stormy up until early this morning. It was still cloudy all day but the rain held off. My car was put in the streetrod 1973-1990 class since it isn't stock. It is also my birthday today so I had a really great time. I was so busy answering questions about it I didn't even sit in my chair once all day or walk around to see anything. That's ok though, people had some great stories to tell as well as the Q&A about my car. I still haven't even taken the seats out for reupholstery so I certainly didn't expect anything whatsoever so...... I did however get the chin spoiler on at least this week too.

What's really amazing about these cars, is that they made for some of the quickest street cars in the late 80s and early 90s. It didn't take a whole lot to get them into the 13s and many were faster. These cars were way ahead of the import tuner scene. I'll never forget a little black 4 door omni GLH beating many a mustang and camaro over 20 years ago. I remember how hard it was for me to get my camaro into the 12's with the sbc. Ha, my first time out with the LS was in the 12's without breaking a sweat. Cam, do you care to chime in?
