1994 Mustang Gt Swap
Ok ok, here we go. I am looking to swap an ls based motor into my stang. I have a friend that has a factory 4.6l k-member I am going to use. I also have another friend who has 4.6l mounts adapted for an LS1. My question(s): Can I use these motor mounts w/ a 5.3l truck motor? Will the truck accessory belt stuff from a 5.3l clear everything in the mustang?
Any info MUCH appreciated. I have a ton of threads I have searched over and over, and its just hard to gather info sometimes. Thank you!

I think this is a cool swap, and am kinda surprised there isn't more ready info on it, double cheap someone hasn't published a book on this, there will be great tips in a complete book if there is one, plus it would save a ton of time, money and headache, good luck and be sure to post pics throughout the build.

The adapter wasn't a big deal it just bolts between the mount and block to bolt the back hole to. I am using a 5.3 because it was cheap, but if you could find a good ls1 it would be a better way to go.

Yea, I understand the adapter isn't that big of a deal, but I think I'm going to just go LS1 at this point. On another note, I got the blown 5.0 and trans outta the car tonight!

I have a 97 that I want to do this swap too myself and I have several questions but the information is kinda hard to find on here. Do you have to run an automatic tranny or can you adapt a LS based t56 to a sn95 ? 2 more questions guages and wiring harness any simple tricks to solve these problems ?

I'm doing a 95 mustang with a 6.2 don't know if I'm going with the aje k-member or billet depot the price between the 2 is like 200 bucks but aje offers the ls mounts as far as headers just buying a set of 351 fords and swapping flanges........yeah there's a lot of info on here but for fi and you'd spend day's reading through the post

Any one care to comment on if the swap would be just as easy or harder using a 94/95 v6 mustang to start with? I know I'd need to swap the rear end, but just for engine/tranny/wiring purposes (or anything else I might be forgetting)? Figure since I don't have a car yet, why not go inexpensive yet clean shell.

Im picking up a clean 95v6 with a blown motor from a friend of a friend for $200 bucks. I also got a 5.3 with a carbed intake already heads and all for $300. Now I need front assesories and MSD 2010 box. As soon as I pick up the car and get my townhome ill post pics and will need some help figuring this chit out.
