Ls1 T56 Chevy II clutch setup!
Hey I have a 63 chevy II with an ls1 and t56 setup with the checkered racing front clip. My question is what are you using to setup a master cylinder to engage the clutch with the factory pedals or aftermarket pedals... Any ideas, you guys have any pics...
Thanks Mark Tisdale

Yea I will call tomorrow, I only see stuff for a tremece 5spd but it doesn't matter I am sure, I just need the bracket to mount the master cylinder to the firewall and run the ls1 style braided line... and run a heim joint setup connected to the clutch brake pedal.
Who knows...
Keep some info coming guys!!!

The body on my Rambler American is built like a Chevy II. I mounted the clutch master by copying the way it was mounted in my 99 Camaro parts car. I tried to figure the original mounting angle, drilled a hole in the firewall and bolted it in using the original ubolt setup. After removing the cast section of the pushrod, I put a 1/4-20 thread on the remaining pushrod stub. A rod coupling , a piece of rod, and a heim joint connect to the pedal. Use a pedal stop to limit travel to under 1 inch. The street and performance website has info on making a mount on your clutch pedal. Space gets tight around the steering column and pedals. I even had to slightly offset my brake pedal to clear the clutch master setup. Love the early Novas. Had a bunch of 66 and 67 SS's back in the 70's. Good luck.

I am on similar swap right now on a '66. I plan on using a Wilwood M/C (already had it) and fabricating a bracket that will mount it at an angle to the firewall in the same location as where the original Z-bar pushrod exited the firewall - just above and to the side of the steering column.
I'm currently waiting on my clutch pedal to arrive before I go about making the bracket.

I am working on a 63 Chevy II with ls1/T56. I fabricated a master cylinder bracket using the ones they make for early Camaros. It doesn't run yet but it seems that the clutch works fine. I am on a tight budget and this didn't cost that much to do (cost of bracket and stock Camaro clutch master cylinder). You can see pictures at:

Hope this maybe sparks an idea. If you have any questions just ask.
