Big set back!

well i jynxd myself the other day bragging about how good the swap was coming. I got a call today well i got a voicemail today saying my lingenfelter 403ci shortblock won't be in until may! so i went ahead called back and cancelled my order.. time to find a new shortblock.. who should i look at for good shortblocks? now don't get me wrong i've hear awesome things about lingenfelter but i was also warned that it may be a few months but when i was quoted at 2-5 weeks i jumped on it.. Now i'm just looking for a good cid shortblock possibly ls7 don't know yet. What are y'alls opinions on shortblocks? just keep it aluminum

Their seems to be a ton of options, what about a warhawk block from world products?

There are a bunch of sponsors on here that build short blocks. Check the internal engine sections

Haven't gotten a shortblock from any of the sponsors but I have had good luck with Texas Speed you should look into one of their 413ci LS3 short blocks.

all night i've been thinking of a 440ci ls7.. either stop me or instigate it who would i look to for that and what do ya'll think?

I have one of the TSP 418's. I hope to have it running in a couple of weeks. Try calling them. They may have one built and ready to go. It probably depends on what you intend on doing with the engine, such as nitrous or forced induction.

It seems like the sponsors here tend to take good care of the guys on this forum. I intend on using a sponsor from the forum for this engine. I'm talking with SDPC on the LS440 right now. It all depends on their price and time tables. Thank you everyone. I'm just starting to get this build into high gear. I got all of my parts from hinson yesterday (3/12/09) and the work they did on the parts is astonishing. So i'll start with my ls1 i picked up the other week for free and once i get everything in place and have my new motor here i will swap everything out i really don't intend on ever have the car running with the ls1 in it. Lazy tendancies, you know.
