If I had to have viper looks with V8 sound then I'd consider it. But in terms of practical, I'd rather just buy an LSX vette and be done. So much better.
I agree with the opinion that the V10 sounds awful. just like a loud Volkswagen bug or something. There is no muscle to the sound. A big cam V10 sounds 'interesting' but not good.
But yeah, I'm guilty of putting an LS engine into an RX-7. Even the rotary sounds better than the damn viper. Sorry. Just no guts!

Not sure if it got mentioned at this post yet..but this one local guy that ran the Texas Mile has a Viper with a twin turbo SBC, BS3 car. I saw it as my car was getting tuned. His reasoning was that its cheaper to build a SBC motor, and easier to find someone to tune it as almost anyone can tune Big Stuff 3. No one makes stand alones for Vipers, so you have to do the piggy back thing. His was running prety good from what I recall. Came in second to a Supra..
