Default 6 Month Old Gas? Still Good?

Have a full tank of premium fuel thats been sitting for 6 months in the vehicle. Temperatures this winter in Florida were/are mild. Is it O.K. to start & run the LS1 on this gas? Or should I first add an additive? Or? Thanks guys.

I've used gas that old (or maybe a bit older) although I added a bit of Sta-bil to it after a couple of months. I'd guess you'd be fine, especially if you mixed in some fresh gas as you're able...

If it does not smell like turpentine, you are OK. If it does, ya gotta drain it. So, as noted above, add as much fresh gas as possible as long as it doesn't smell like turpentine.

What's noted is a worst case scenario. Would agree that within 6 months & a full tank, the gas is OK. Full tank was a wise choice while storing. Next time add Sta-bil.
