Well I finally got back from vacation for my 30th Bday party. And have been working on the wiring. Almost got it all figured out and will post up pinouts of how I got it done. The only other thing I did was got my driveshaft back from the local shop here.
Its a stock Fbody steel driveshaft with the Spicer Nissan flange. Cut to 39.5" from center of U-joint to center of U-joint. All together I have $150 in this shaft

Well been working on wiring lately. Got the engine harness modified and laid out. All nice and clean.
Also got about 95% of the cars underhood harness modified to accept the GTO engine wiring.

Havent done much lately. Had to go back to Ohio as my grandma had passed away. So funeral and time with family and stuff. But when I got back I scored a hella deal on some rims.
A set of 350z 6 spoke 18x8's and a set of 350z 5 spoke knuckles 18x8fr, 18x8.5rr. Both sets for a grand total price of $450 with some tires that need replacing, but are good for the build process.
Now its time to finish the wiring up all the way, and put this bitch back together and make it run.

Got the engine cleaned up and the new Flywheel and clutch on.
Then got it ready to drop back in the car.
And then prepped the engine bay, so I dont scratch it all up.
Then realized I cannot go any further until my engine and trans crossmembers, motor mounts, and a bunch of other little parts come back from Powder Coat...should be ready thursday.

You dont know HOW tempted I am to do just that. But Turbos are one thing I have NEVER had any experience with. If someone can talk me through the basic GOOD setup a LSx motor needs. And the little details, like oiling and all that. I can make sure the tuning gets right haha.

OK SO I snapped a few pics of some things I worked on today between the raindrops. It has been raining here for like 10 days straight, so this is the first time I have worked on the car.
I got my Oil Pressure sending unit put on for the stock gauge. Since it is pretty mucha worthless gauge and only lets you know if Oil Pressure drops below like 20 PSI, I plumbed in a mechanical gauge as well. I know I cannot see it from the interior. But if the gauge tells me WHOA, I can stop and check it out.
Also got a fuel pressure gauge hooked up as well on the schrader valve on the fuel rail.
Then hooked up my PIMP Saikou Michi dual catch can. I loveeeee this thing. Tomorrow will be getting in my Powered By Max Surge tank and will make a bracket to mount it in front of the catch cans. Kinda like kirk made for his, just a little further forward.
Then got off my *** and hooked up some temp powers and a start button. Just ti fire it up open manifolds and make sure I had good oil pressure and such. This is literally the FIRST time I had hit the start button. All I did before this was jumped the fuel pump relay to check for fuel leaks. And damn the thing fired right up like every other LSx swap I have done. Gotta love these motors. Had a solid 45psi idle Oil pressure and jumped to 60ish just on a throttle bump. So all is well and good.
HAHA then at the end you can hear my fantastic wife who was taking the video say "That was pretty loud" HAHA gotta love a wife who will put up with ongoing car or truck builds. I have had a vehicle under construction in our garage since the day she met me 7 years ago, and she still never bitches at me over the late nights or VERY greasy clothes.

Stole the idea slightly from kirk. PBM Surge tank mounted up with the Saikou Michi Dual Catch cans.
The bracket will not stay gold, will have it black to match.
HOPEFULLY over the long weekend I will get more done. And get this thing rolling on its own power.

Because it will eventually get FI. And if I am buying it, might as well spend the little more now then buying a single now then a dual when i go FI. Plus lots easier to make room in initial build for things and know how much room I will have for turbo parts at the end. I am very much an ahead of the game thinker. So its all in the works.
