Just another 3rd Gen LS swap
Bought it for 3k in 05... Decent body and a crapfireinjection, that was soon gone for a carb/h/c swap then sold that motor to buy an ls in 07. About the only bad thing about buyin the motor was it was a truck motor and the guy who had it b4 me used some parts off it to build is new motor..So i was stuck hunting down parts not only for the conversion but alot of other stuff!
Id like to thank ls1tech also for the help this site has given me! I have been doing this by myself (body and motor) with the help of this site and books!
Heres what i have been doing lately...simultaniously body/ motor work! Enjoi...

Heres what the car colors looked like on the fin, and i will go back to the same colors (pic doesnt do any justice tho, when waxed n clean it was purrty) Many dents, macoesc paint job and the car fallin of a trailer once persuaded me to repaint

NOW...on to the good stuff!

My little work corner..

SOME more fun goodies

Finally...Where the work happens, a 1000sq ft...2post lift shop me and my dad share! Tried talkin him to put an Ls into his porshe, but was a no go!

as i was trying to button up the bottom end up and found out either my oil pump pick up tube was wrong (got from dealership) or the windage tray is wrong..... I cant get the oil pan to sit flush on the front SO..im thinkin its the oil pump pickup tube more or less!
i have some questions tho....the oil pump pick up tube i got only utilizes 1 bolt to hold it down, but my block has 2...Will this affect anything just as long is a tighten it down correctly?
Also would i have to change my windage tray over to an fbody one to work with the fbod oil pan /pu tube?
Anyone got a windage tray and pick up tube lyin around for sale?

prefer to keep fbody pan, with matching tube and tray.
dont try to mix and match tubes and trays, if you are not familiar with them.
