Default Flex plate adapter part number

Does anyone have the GM part number for the adapter that goes between the crank and the flexplate on an LS motor when running an old style transmission? Also would like the part number for the bolts.

im doing the same thing im putting a 5.3 in a strip s10 with a powerglide.
does that spacer let you still use the factory flexplate

hello! starters would be the same.flexplates that use the spacer are flat like on my 4l80e.4l60e use a dished flex plate.if your 5.3 has the dished flex plate i would say no.you may need one from a 4l80e,then you need to see if any of the 6 holes will line up with your t/c.

You can use the flat or dished flexplate with the spacer. If your using the flat plate the spacer goes in front of the plate (between the crank and plate). If you have a dished plate the spacer goes behind the flexplate. WARNING: if you use the dished flexplate you may have to oval out the convertor mounting bolt holes, the old style transmissions use a 300mm bolt circle while the newer transes have a 298mm bolt circle.
