Working on it !

The turbo kit is done it just needs ceramic coated

I pulled the engine and trans on Sunday so I can finish up a couple things on that (oil drain for turbo, cam, heads, rod bolts, head studs)

The cam should be here mid week so I can hopefully get the engine portion finished up by next weekend and reinstalled in the car.

I still need to order my carb and get the new driveshaft made and that is about it hopefully it is going in a couple of weeks

Cam arrived yesterday and is installed

Waiting on oil pump and valley cover to show up so I can finish it up and put back in the car over the weekend.

Rod bolts are in, head studs in, need to install heads/valley pan/intake

Ended up with a cam From Bullet

The engine is pretty much finished up

My brother and I worked on the alternator bracket last night and got most of it done

The rest of the gaskets showed up today so I finished the assembly of the engine.

it should be in the car over the next couple of days to finish up the minor things and running soon

Here is the alternator bracket that I ended up going with
It still uses the truck alternator so i didn't have to change any of the wiring other that route it to the passenger side

It pivots form the head and has a seperate bracket tied into the water pump (where the stock tensioner mounts) and the adjustment is with a turnbuckle.

everything seems aligned right now so I'll just have to wait and see once the car is running how it performs..

I still need to powdercoat the bracket and the engine should be back in the car tomorrow

I got the turbo kit back from being ceramic coated black by QC coatings

Still need to get a few parts but the kit is in place for hopefully the last time

I still need to pull off the exhaust trim ring and do that in black but it has been raining a bunch here and I do the spraying outside

and the good news is.... It runs!!

Still have to do some minor things but the car started up without any issues...

Need to finish the throttle cable, put water in the car, put a tune in the MSD, and wait on the driveshaft to be finished

Hopefully it can be driven this weekend!

Thanks

driveshaft was by Advantage driveline in Jackson. I measured and they built it. (4", seamless, 1350 ujoints) It was finished today and is being installed tomorrow.

Blowthru is by Pro-systems.

Not sure when i'll get to the track? probably need a rollbar soon! lol

Thanks Tim

The rockers worked out great on the car

The only big issue was the waterpump had a casting flaw in it and leaked. I would have taken it back but had already drilled it for the steam port so I just had it welded

I haven't pulled timing yet so I did get on it at all but during last nights test drive the car worked great.
