A band was cut out of the front of the tunnel so the motor could go back as far as possible.

Pics of mounts are in first post. They are a toyota landcruiser mount. If they can handle a big torquey diesel in low range with a heavy truck like that, they should be fine for my application.

We've only done the headers so far and they are just a modified factory set. Small V's cut in base of tubes to get the header to sit a bit tighter on the block.

Motor will definately fit without cutting the tunnel but it fits ugly. There would be no room for fan/rad and weight balance would be pretty crap. These things are nose heavy as it is so I wouldn't recommend it. It's a pretty simple cut to the tunnel and just weld in a replacement panel after mocking with cardboard. Very little effort for a huge gain.

No idea on the Luv thing

Started dummying up the radiator. It will fit were it is but I think I'll recess it into the rad support panel. Fitted the Ls6 intake manifold (and found that the head bolts were missing under the intake manifold A mate gave me some coil packs and I fitted them. Fitted the auto cooler pipes and played around with the tray a bit...

It's coming along slowly

Got a bit of a shoulder injury slowing me down so progress is slow. Managed to get some old 275/60 x 15's on some chaser rims so I can start mocking up what little tray there will be.

Managed to score an alloy tray for 50 bucks from the wrecker and spent the day cutting it up to fit. Took 3 feet out of it's length and 1 foot out of it's width.

Looking to try and run a factory chev converter as they are half the price of a custom and second hand ones come up from time to time. Researching it now but I think I only have to machine up a crank spigot.

I'm going to spend 1 day a week on it and hope to have it ready by Xmas.

Is this what you are talking about?

My friendly GM performance parts dealer has them all day long for around $35 (PN is on the box) which requires new crank bolts (PN 12563533 @ $27). I don't know if you have GMPP dealers on your side of the planet, but here in the states it was no big deal. If you can't score one locally, you may try http://www.gmpartsdirect.com. I heard of them being sold on line from other vendors too but I don't know of any or the prices. For this price I can't imagine having the same bit one off machined even though I had one to copy.

Gofastwclass: Yeah that was what I am looking at. I've been contact by someone from here with an (awesome) offer so we'll see how it pans out.
