73 Nova Air ride 6.0l turbo swap thread.... Now running

well a little bit of an update..
i got a turbo here its a mp70/.96ar
So i got it mocked in place as you can see i kinda screwed my self with the passenger header but that's what i get for not starting with the turbo in place then building the headers... i don't want to redo the passenger header so ill build around it. i plan to modify the inner fender well to fit around the turbo.
the first thing i did today was mount the intercooler were i wanted it. i had to notch the rad support and the hood pop to get the intercooler to fit. then i built some brackets to hold it in there.
one other problem i see i am going to have is that the intake to the turbo is pretty close to the rad support. it will be tricky to get the filter to fit. i will have to come up with some custom setup there of course.

well this is what i got for the cross over. i am not all that happy with it... the passenger header is to close and didn't leave me with much room to build the y for the turbo. i may cut it all apart and start over.. i am going to sleep on it and well see.

today's playin around in the hot garage.. i got this done besides getting a little swamp ***....
i moved both inlet and outlet to the same side and converted the rad to dual pass.
i also got some work done on the down pipe..

looks great.
how come you are taking the downpipe on the outside of the frame rail? is it gonna dump right where it is , or are the muffler plans?
I plan to route my dp on the inside of the the frame rails

you could run sheet metal inner fenders. i think they look pretty sweet, a buddy of mine ran them in his '67 II. just cut them around the exhaust tubing - i'm sure it would turn out great.

well some more tinkering the fuel tank is 65% done still need to sand it down and give it a little paint job. looks damn good for 36 years old!
i just ordered a hydro boost setup of a truck that will be the next project. then i think i am going to pull the drive train out and start prepping everything for paint and powder coat.
