is the lq4 the 5.3 or 6.0? did u just want to be safer with the iron block instead of aluminum? im chancin it on the ls1 with a low amount of boost im sure. im guessing 9 pounds.

lq4 is a 6.0l with lower compression witch is better for more boost and from what i read it looks like the lq4 is stronger then the ls1.

i have efi live for tuning. i would like to see 15 at some point once the car has the bugs worked out of it and water meth. the 15 may only be on race fuel. once i get it tog and get the bugs worked out ill prob start 8.. if i could find e85 around here i would definitely go that way!

I would think with an intercooler and meth injection that 15psi would not be out of reach at all.

Im hoping that I can ultimately get mine to 22psi with intercooler and meth

well this is a stock lq4 right now so i would like to prolong the life as much as possible. till i tare it down and do a good rotating assembly. then twin 70's will be in order!

Jim i don't really no the limit of the composite intake. i have seen a few up in the 20psi range. i would ask that question in the forced induction thread

well this is a little new crap.

oil pump pickup done. its kinda nice to leave the side of the pan open to see were the pickup is to the bottom of the pan. made the whole thing really easy. i also modified the second windage tray on in the pan so that it will keep all the oil in the bottom of the pan.. this week i should have the rest of the parts for the pan so i can finish it and call one thing done!

this pick is were it was originally.

i also got board and decided to hang some parts on the motor!

73 nova, thats a fine looking engine. love the headers. I'll be mad at you if you then dont put the coils in the stock location JK. look at all the clearance you have. Im using the c6 exhaust manifolds and I really wish I didnt have to relocate the coils.

meanyellowz. where is a good place to relocate the coils to on a nova with no inner fenders. Im using the msd 6010 and I really would like to not have to modify the harness.

btw, where is your waste gate gonna go?

Is the notch for the downpipe so that the DP will clear stock inner fenders?

three boards holding the right side up and 2 for the left!

i have not tested the inner fender yet but i am 110% sure the inner fender will not fit on the passenger side! so i will have to take the cut off wheel and the welder to that to!!

well after about 15 times of leak testing the oil pan is leak free. so i mounted it up. i need to put the motor back in to do the hydro boost brake setup in. but decided to make the engine lift plate first.. engine will go back in this week one night..
