The truck alt will bolt into the f-body bracket. But the case is about an inch bigger so it may not clear your frame as well as a f-body alt would.

As mentioned, use a transfer punch to find dead ctr.
Determine how deep the hole has to be, cut a piece of tubing, [black pipe, copper tube, etc], of a size that will slip over the drill. Cut the tube to a length determined by the hole depth vs the bit length. This will be a "stop", so the drill doesn't go too deep.

I found a long 11/32" bit and used the bracket as a guide. Had the metric tap handy and the process was smooth

So after I drill and tap will my ac compressor and everything bolt to my 5.3 block???
