Default Fuel Pressure Regulator

I have installed the Walbro 255 LPH inline fuel pump on my crate LS1. I understand I need to install a fuel pressure regulator for this configuration. I am looking for a recommedation as to what regulator to use. We have the engine installed and are now working on the plumbing.

I suggst that you should use the Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. That is what a lot of LS1 conversion guys use.

Incidentally, did you consider fitting the intake manifold on backwards so the throttle body faced the rear of the car? It would give you more clearance at the front.

Actually I think most people are using the 99 on corvette regulator/filter now there is a thread on it currently. I used a Mallory regulator. Ditto on the intake. That is what I did. Bolts right up. You will need to fold the MAF, IAT, TPS,and IAC back in the harness. You would also need to extend the MAP sensor wire, but pretty simple really. Here are a couple pics

Just to clarify... Coolvet's advise was good as well. When I did mine a year and a half ago that was the way it was done. The areomotive , and mallory regulators are prettier but I am sure you could find an out of sight place to mount the other. The areomotive 027-13109 list for $129.99, and the Mallory 650-4305M list for $98.99 through Jegs. I purchased the Mallory but was probably penny wise and pound foolish. Because the Mallory has NPT threads and the areomotive has AN threads. So once I got done buying the earl's adapters I probably spent more. In the other thread the one guy says the vette reg/filter are only $35 so that would be much cheaper.

I have a 62 Vette with an LS1 and used a Holly regulator. It is vacum opperated and works very well.

By the way I am in Austin and would be interested in seeing the car in the pictures. It looks Awsome.

David, give me a call later in the week at 292-8999 and we will see when we can get together. I won't be avail until after wed.

To answer an earlier post, I will be reversing the intake to put the throttle body towards the rear.

Looks like that LS1 will be testing the integrity of that frame. Am I not seeing something?

The frame is based on Lamborghini's design which handles over 550HP. I think it will handle the 320HP without a problem but we will see on the first test drive. You can see how it was built at http://www.lambobuilder.com/edb/Chassis/index.htm
