ok. i saw in one of the build pics someone had the camaro firebird steering whell was that the fbody steering clumn or just a steering wheel if it was a fbody steering column how do i go about fabing it to make it work or do i even have to

the one with the air bag steering wheel is a friends car. i'll pm him and ask. or get him into this conversation.
i have seen some guys swap in the whole column. i didnt want to spend the money or the time. i used an 00-02 wheel and it bolted right to my 3rd gen column.
the only downside is you WILL NEED the 4th gen column with reluctor ring and cable to make the steering wheel controls function.
mine are not functional, but man, the wheel looks so much better than the plain jane version.
here is a more updated pic of the car.
got a 6.26 out of it last weekend!
dont want to clutter hunters thread with my BS. PM with any questions.

The 4l80 swap was tight like merv said but I think it'll be a great trans for my drivability I plan on drivin everyday to work I run a trans shop so I get the hookup on all auto stuff but I think next year I'll prolly do a sixspeed swap but till then I want a better set of headers who did ya say made yours?

not really sure on any guestimation..but jealous is a color i am very familiar with when reading this thread..and would just like to say thank you for all the PM's and info..really inspirational and good information and links as well..
I wonder if anybody locally would be able to swap in a 4th gen dash into a 3rd gen..wrenching/torqing i can do..electrical not so much...hell i wonder what that would cost..

went 6.23 at 109.71 last weekend. also went a .24 and a .25 both at 109.85. all hp, pump gas.
whats the update with your car hunter?

the 6.23 pass was a 1.36 short time. it didnt hit that hard with the 3 spd.
got a gear, just no time to put it in. may be getting to warm to go teens now, but it will.

thought id post up an update. bought a rossler terminator stage 3 4l60e, and a nitrous outlet plate kit. bast i could get out of it with 3.55's was a 7.96 with a 1.78 60' on 555r's

recently got a f-body specific nitrous setup. CHRIS AT NITROUS OUTLET IS THE MAN! and yeah 3.90's or 4.11's are in the works plans are for some 15's and slicks

Anyone doubting Tj's car or hunters car is crazy. I have seen TJ's run time and time and time again at holt. it will run it all day long very impressive and as for the little 5.3 I wouldn't hate on it either. It has killed 2 let me repeat myself 2 supercharged mustangs with both of them having alittle over 100 more wheel HP! Holdin it up for the 5.3 !!
