Talking LS6 electronics

I have a 62 Vette with an LS1 and a T56. I used a 98 PCM and I modified the factory harness. It works great, but is there better?

I am starting a project on a 63 Split Window Vette and plan to use an LS6 with a T56. I have an 02 T/A PCM but no wiring harness.

Now the question, What is the best year PCM and harness to use for a project like this and why? I do not care if I need to get a different year PCM.

Thanks for any input.

I would make sure and match the wiring harness year to the PCM since there were a few subtle changes between '98 & '02.

I got Howell Engine Developments to set up my PCM for my LS6 and T56. They sold me a new harness as well. Does your car use a Newman chassis?

Yes. Both the 62 which is done and the 63 that is a work in progress use Newman Chassis.

Coolvet, what was your experience with howells harness like??? I had several problems with mine, specificly the PCM connectors being switched, improper VSS connector, and the O2 plugs being switched. They were never able to really help me with my problems, (speartech helped out on that) but when i finally did figure out what was wrong they were able to repair it witout trouble.
Overall I dont think I would purchase another harness from them, or TPIS since that is the distributer I actually got it from.

Default 67 Camero

I have thought of a 69 Camero convertable with LS1 as a project. How do you like the 67? Is the suspension all stock? Do you have any pictures?

I also think the newer computers are better for upgrading with higher maf tables and higher resolution. So if upgrading to ls6 I would think this would be important.

Hi LS1-1st-Gen, I haven't completely fitted my harness as yet so I will checkout the connectors that you mentioned. Thanks.
