This past weekend, i did a bit more cleaning of the new ti. I pulled that ratty old monroe suspension and installed an Mroadster Sachs suspension along with the xbrace. Stopped by the dealership, bought 4 new centercaps, 4 window "will break again" clips, and chatted up on pricing some more parts for the ti in the near future. I also removed those crappy clears that everyone and their mom loves in favor of some clean ambers.

When i purchased the car, the washer squirters didnt know which windshield they wanted to clean, so i dug in and found the culprits and now both windshields clean properly.

Looked into the a/c, to see if it actually would work or if it was screwed up. Upon checking out the engine bay more closely, i found that the wires to the compressor were chewed up, so i gabbed some new lines and reran it to the compressor, walla, cold a/c.

Everyone loves the stock headlights right....no, not at all and neither do i. I robbed my moreagrun ti for the headlights and 6000k hids. Next are the fogs. Ill be using zkw fog assemblies, 6000k slim kit, and changing the lows for 4300k.

I then moved on to the audio, trying to figure out why only 2 of 10 speakers worked. 3 are blown, the others had some very homemade/modified wiring and caused them not to work with a good head unit installed. A good 30 mins later, i had 6 working speakers, cant seem to get the kick panel on the drivers to work just yet.

O yea. I was going to take a better driving video, then realized how shitty the parking lot was and how uneven it actually was, i thought i would tear up my tires because of it. Listen to the turbo, its so sexy....

More updates soon.

45 Minutes of removing pedals, hydraulic lines, and clutch parts
1 Hour 45 Minutes of removing a M50b25, Getrag 5 Speed Manual transmission and front Driveshaft
3 Hours 30 Minutes to remove an M44B19 possibly M42B18, GM 4 Speed Automatic transmission and front driveshaft
8 Hours of installing three pedal manual assembly, M50B25, Getrag 5 speed manual transmission, X-brace, clutch hydraulics, new M3 slave cylinder, OBDII to OBDI conversion, EWS delete, Auto to manual electric conversion, dismantling of other interior pieces for post cleaning

Was a good sunday. I started around 3pm and worked on an off while chatting on aim, eating food, and BSn with friends on the phone. Got done in time for work the next morning, was 10 mins late though after trying to clean up the driveway.

First impression, the 4.44 is such a short gear ratio for this engine but torque and power is ALWAYS there.

Next on the list is to get the interior dressed up and wait for my money on the T-56 6spd for the LS1 then its mount time.

For you actual Styling guys:

Tint; Ive had 20% on the Moreagrun and loved it but was a bit on the dark side at night. Ive been contemplating 25% or even 30% to regain some clarity and class with this one, as i think 20% is a bit too....idk...dark and for the younger crowd that dont want to be seen and such. It takes away the appeal of the car IMO.

Here are some pics of the progress taken this sunday...

*Budget Numbers Countdown* $15,000.00
- $2,000.00 - Imola/black 318ti shell....O WAIT, never-mind.

Hey Tony, looks like you've got a nice project going.. The black one looks clean as hell now.. I'm out in Cleveland now, but went to school at UT. And lol, I'm digging the low light shots, I always find myself doing the same thing =)

Thanks, this one has to be my most involved project yet and I love it. I've recently done a few more mods to the car as well as installed 255/35/18f and 275/35/18r. I'll throw some pics up later when not on the iPhone.

Finally decided to get the old, worn out, and bent suspension out the car and install a few new parts to stiffen and tighten everything up. The chassis is pretty much done at this point, minus the weld in kit for the rear alignment adjustment, as well as the coil over setup, but thats coming at the end of the project as its over 3,000.00$. The next and pretty much only thing i need is the transmission, clutch, and manual engine harness, then ill mock it up and get the mounts made.

I'm only one person, work 60-70 hours a week, and waiting on parts to get here. I may be driving out to PA to pick up my t56 for rebuild, just waiting to here back. I'm just doing this on the side it's not something a shop is producing.

The tach is what happens when the cluster reads a 6cyl rather than a 4cyl.

I bought my ls1 in a place above Detroit, MI.

I like your "truck." I thought I was the only one who did stuff like that. Hahahahaha

I need to buy a small trailer just for such occasions.

I like your work ethic. Make time when you can and get it done!

I always tell myself "i should buy a truck, just in case something like this happens"......yea, as you can see, it never does. My little cars have hauled many things that really should not have been hauled. My old crx hauled my I6 from WI to Toledo, ohio, literally sitting on my shoulder the whole time.
