Make no mistake, I was just pokin fun at it. Your conversion is solid. Not at the conversion. BTW, I can not see a difference in the LCAs that you have posted sans one is new and the other is not. Is one bent or is the bushing in the old one the focus?

They were the OE arms with 155k on them. I found that the drivers front strut was bent, the control arm bushings were completely degraded and destroyed, the ball joints were all loose (which are pressed in the arms and its usually easier just to replace the complete arms when worn out), and its the updated version (less weak points and and slightly heavier than the OEs).

Ive also had it on the alignment machine and the specs were pretty whacked out. After replacing all the suspension, then adjusting toe, everything fell right into spec. I do, however, think that the strut tower on the drivers side may be a bit out spec, as camber is non-adjustable and the drivers side falls a bit out of spec compared to the passenger side. I may be able to fix this with the new camber plates and coil over suspension im purchasing.

The rear alignment is non-adjustable, but everything on my car is still within spec, which is very rare.

Recent tire purchase of BFGs in 245/35/18 and 285/30/18 fitment. The rims that will be on the car will be custom made but i test fitted the tires with some wheels i have laying around.

Bought a parts car and got rid of my other two bimmers so the test fitting and mock ups are going into it. Im pulling the drivetrain in a few minutes and dropping in the ls1. Next on the list of things to buy is the transmission, then ill be ready for assembly. After that, just make the car a bit prettier.

Do you like the tires? Everyone I've talked to complained about road noise through these and said traction could be better.

For the price... I like them, I've had the going 100+ mph on the Lowes Motor Speedway during an open track day and had no issues.

Road noise... no they are not noisey, compared to the Goodyear Runcraps that came stock on my Vette, they are a ton quieter!

Yea, its just a point and shoot camera, nothing fancy at all. The black rims are just test fitment rims, not whats going on the car. Theyre too narrow and too heavy.

I had the day off, so i dug further into the electric side of my swap and got that all worked out. Then i moved on to cleaning things up since it wasnt too shitty out.

The parts car in the garage with the 285s. I gave it a whipe down since i didnt have time to clean it before throwing it in the garage.

Those tires are subtle, LOL.

Glad to see the swap coming along, should be a fun little ride when it's all done.

jesus christ...talk about a waste of a thread. if the swap is going into that parts car in the garage than why do you keep posting pics of the other black car??? especially since it doesnt even have an ls1 in it?? my brain hurts....

Who said the swap was going into the parts car? The parts car is just that, a parts car. Most of the wiring has been torn, cut, or ripped from the chassis, not to mention missing the door, interior, seats, fender, and other misc things. Im using that chassis to get everything testfitted and all the bugs worked out, rather than leaving myself without a car and down time. No need to bash for my method of working.
