I am also wanting to know about the kmember as well. I am getting ready to buy one and need to know what all I need to make it work. I was also going to order the kooks headers too. I am a noobie at this and wanting the easiest way out.
thanks
Josh
There is a swap k-member, mounts, a-arms and manual rack in the classifieds for $600 obo seems like a good guy to deal with. Oh when I talked to AJE today he said you need his A-arms to clear either swap headers? Others should chime in here. Djquck88 looks like he used stock ones with the kook headers.

Man sounds like you got a good deal on the kmember. How are you going to do you the steering? I am trying to get out as cheap as I can. If I can buy the aje kmember for 350 and use my stock a-arms that would be awesome. Keep this thread going cause I am learning alot. Also has anyone used the dynatech headers and how do they fit?
Hopefully if every thing works out Trading my manual rack with djquick88 ps stuff. You are probly refering to the plumbing right? On my 71 swap I found some fittings from summit that converted the stock6.0 ps pump high side fitting to 6an(can find the #if needed) and a different adaptor for the 71 gear box and got a 3foot line made for $25 (the one I made kept blowing off)The low side was just bulk 3/8 ps line. I here maximum motorsports has these for a ford rack. Hope that helps.

sorry, my questions is will the stock rack on the stangs work? I see alot of people using the flamming river rack but if I can use mine and save some money I will. Mine is a 4cylinder car tho dont know if its a difference between the 4cyl and the 8cyl cars.

Yes you can use your stock rack. The 4 cyl have a different ratio than the 5.0 cars, but it's not a huge difference. I'm running my 5.0 ps rack on my LQ4 with the AJE k member
Just got my engine. Ended up getting a 2004 gto 6 speed pull out with 48k. Headers and hp tuners next on the shopping list.
good deal. So far I've got got a motor out of a 06 3/4 ton truck with 41k miles, powerglide tranny but needs rebuilt, mines a 4 cylinder so I picked up a 8.8. Got the kmember in the car and decided to go with the flamming river rack and pinion. Just installed a coil over conversion kit to get it back rolling and I also picked up a carb intake.
Hopefully I will beable to score some stuff at the LSX shootout. I hope I can pick up a set of headers, msd 6010, oil pan. I also need to find a starter and altenator.
Keep us posted with the build and let me know how everything fits.
