Default Mustang lsx begining

Getting my plan together. Any input, advice, criticizem welcome. Think I found the roller 91 coupe. Want it to be a 2002 ls1 6speed. So...

Hooks headers $699
AJE and mounts $418
Pcm programing and wiring $750
Fuel pump, corvette filter, lines and fittings $350
Drive shaft work $300
clutch $200
exhaust $400 roller has none
fluids, filters, gaskets, misc $300
trans mount $160
Radiator fan assembly and stock inst. cluster. $250
Turbo coupe pedals?
So thats $3827 plus tax and shipping. (guesing on alot of these correct me if needed)
Motor and trans. up to $4500
So $8327 plus car $2500 = $10827
I think a ls1 six speed would be worth that to me. Anbody seen what such a car would sell for?

So looking for any of the above mentioned parts, Advice, comments. Thanks.

David

I've seen too many fitment problems with the Kooks. If I were you I'll do the Dynatech ones that sell for $599 and are designed for the AJE k member.

u can also use 5.0 headers with the header flanges cut off and ls1 flanges welded back on. to save a few $

Hooks headers $699 - Go with 5.0 headers on ls1 flange. Save assload of $
AJE and mounts $418 - This is fine, I'm doing motor plate to save this $418!
Pcm programing and wiring $750 - Do your own I have $150 in my harness!
Fuel pump, corvette filter, lines and fittings $350 - Shouldn't cost nearly that much for fueling, walbro 255 pump is only $70 so maybe $200 total!
Drive shaft work $300 - Not for sure about this one but prob close.
clutch $200 - I'm auto
exhaust $400 roller has none
fluids, filters, gaskets, misc $300
trans mount $160 - Fab up your own for alot cheaper.
Radiator fan assembly and stock inst. cluster. $250 - Radiator setup, $130 cluster is maybe $50.
Turbo coupe pedals?
So thats $3827 plus tax and shipping. (guesing on alot of these correct me if needed)
Motor and trans. up to $4500 - WOW, Go with a 5.3 I got mine for $100 complete long block.
So $8327 plus car $2500 = $10827
I think a ls1 six speed would be worth that to me. Anbody seen what such a car would sell for?

Or you just go Turbo and not worry about headers...lol As far as the fuel pump goes, just run a Walbro @255 in tank pump with the vette filter/regulator . I might even sell you my modded sending unit , pump and vette filter since I'm not using it anymore.

Also,If I were you I would go the 6.0/T56 route. Just be sure to get an '01+ 6.0 due to the crankshaft length. A realistic price for a 6.0 is about $1000 .If you need anything, let me know.

Mike

Yea let me know on the fuel stuff I'm probly only a few miles away from you. Need to check your car out any way.
Thought about a 6.0 thats what I put in my 71 nice power. Thought with having to get a car intake, pan ect. plus weight savings might be worth it to do ls1.
I read in your thread you regret doing the six speed and went auto. Why is that?
Did Cline do your drive shat work? What about header coating and exhaust?

No doubt. Already realized with the aje memder you need $99 steering shaft extention. $279 lower control arm (some one told me stock won't work is that right? So areas I save in might make up for crap like that.Planning on doing my own harness if I srew it up though I'll send it out lol. 2k swap for every nut and bolt on the build is impresive. Don't know if I could get a t-56 set up fer that. Chime in with your combo ect. Your coments are helpful.

I would run a flamming river shaft anyway.....rag joints suck. Hell, If you run power steering I might sell mine to you too...lol I will be switching to a manual rack.
The stock A arms will work fine. That's what is on my car. If you want a 98 F-body harness for $150 let me know. I'll put you in touch with someone who has one.

That's up to you since both of them come with a "hi-temp" paint coating. Unless you get the more pricier ss version.

Sounds good, I'll PM you my phone number.

I had my drive shaft made at Carolina Driveline off of Howard street, near Hearon circle. Actually they have made a few for me over the years.
I had the headers coated at Millennium Performance Coating in Simpsonville. He does good work.I plan on getting him to coat all of my turbo tubing when I get done.

Called AJE and ordered kmember. Got a stroke of good luck on that he was offering free shipping yesterday, but when I saw it it was too late to call so he honored it for today. The mont is included with the member too so instead of $418 plus shipping budgeted I spent $349. Hope things keep rolling like this.

Seems that is the going rate around here for a complete pull out 2002 with 60k. I asked if he would do $4000 cash today and he said he could do a 100k one for that. Unbeleivable. Thought with the economy they might jump at some cash. I'll keep looking for awhile. Found a buy it now 2000 auto, ls1,pcm,harness, accesories for 2k. So... Thats an option the pre '01 autos are so much cheaper, with the 2002 motor I would get the ls6 intake and better rod bolts right? Still havn't ruled out a truck drive train. You guys give me some pros and cons on both.
