'99 L36 V6 to '01 LS1 V8 swap (w/PICS!)

Yeah pretty much, that's all we did. If you look at the INJ fuse in your current fuse block you should see a main ign power feed wire (pink) that feeds ign voltage to the top three fuse spots in that fuse block. If I am not mistaken one of the fuse spots is unused. Simply pin in a wire that runs to the ign voltage for the second set of inj's and coils and you're good to go. But check all the diagrams of course.

Great job and very informative write up

Yep, I had previously installed an LS1 fuel pump bucket assembly from an 01 LS1. I believe there was an extra sensor on the LS1 bucket but I'm not 100% sure any more. The 01 LS1 pump+bucket worked with my V6 but the gas gauge wasn't especially accurate in the time it took for the gas level to update. It may have been due to different resistance levels between the 99/V6 pump and the 01/V8 pump.

What exactly did you have to do for the mechanical pedal. Because 99-02 Firebird were electronic. I saw you used the TCS/ASR cable. But did you have to run that cable all the way to the pedal? I am swaping this weekend. Found a 99 Corvette LS1 with only 28,000.

We unbolted the old pedals, including the electonic accelerator pedal. Then we bolted in the manual pedals. Yes, we ran the throttle cable all the way to the manual accelarator pedal, just as if it was installed with a cable driven throttle body from the factory.

So tapping into the EGR ignition wire is ok if I delete the EGR? I think I can jumper it to C100 G without a problem (EGR).
C100 Plug
A PNK Hot in Run and Start (IGN/INJ Bank 1 15A)
B DK GRN/WHT PCM 43 A/C Clutch Relay Control
C DK GRN PCM 18 A/C Clutch Status
D GRY TPS +5v to TCS
E DK BLU TPS signal to TCS
G PNK Hot with IGN 1 Relay Engaged (Tranny/EGR 15A)
H DK BLU PCM 33 Cooling Fan 2 and 3 Relay Control
J DK GRN PCM 42 Cooling Fan 1 Relay Control
K BLK TPS sensor low to TCS

Ok, one more question. When you replaced the fuel pump, did you just replace the part in the tank? I was originally going to swap gas tanks, but I really don't feel like dropping the one in my bird.

As for the wiring, look at your current fuse block set up. One of the fuse blocks will have two spaces marked INJ1 and INJ2. INJ2 should be empty on one side of the pins (so if you were to stick a fuse in there, it would only connect to one side of the fuse). So what you have to do is get a specific pin that is supposed to go into that fuse block. Put the pin in the block on the other side of the INJ2 spot and run wire from the block over to the engine harness on the passenger side shock tower and connect it to the ingnition feed that powers up the second bank of coils and injectors of the v8 engine harness.
