Here is a link to a good article that you need to read. It will explain a lot about the throttle valve cable on a 200-4R and 700R4.

Before anyone can help you, you need to give specific info. What carb? What manifold? What TV cable? And you really need to buy a pressure gauge setup and check your trans pressures while adjusting the cable.

I'm going with a holley 750 mexhanical secondary, GMPP intake, I don't know what tv cable to choose of how to set it up from the trans to the carb. Thanks S10 any part numbers would be extremely helpful.... Also when I adjust the tv cable what readings should I see for the pressure

The pressure gauge (300# gauge, 4 ft of #4 hose with a #4AN swivel end) installs to the DR side port about 6" above the shifter quadrant. I (permanently) installed a 45° 1/8" NPT x -4AN fitting with a -4AN cap when not in use. Pressure checking info can be found here.

Dude, go to any of the pump mfg's, they have all the info you need to get started. Try Barry Grant, Holley, Aeromotive, etc. and they'll all have downloadable diagrams and schematics.

thx S10 i looked at the lokar setup. If go with these do i still need both of the holley brackets or one of them. Also It shows two cables on the carb..a kickdown and throttle.....so do i need two different cables or just one. Also if there is a need for two what bracket do i use? thanks
