Default ls1 1966 66 Chevelle A body lsx build!

Ok so i have had this car since 2003 haven't done much to it other than the cage cowl 4in hood and a fuel cell..that's it lol

so now i am dedicated to start and finish hopefully sooner than later so here we go!!













I built a 540 but ended up throwing it into my boat..so here's my new power plant and 4l60e trans..






left over wire from building my standalone harness.





Car is off to paint and body color red i believe code 75 1970 chevelle red..

all red....except in between the tail lights and inside the car will be black hope to have it back in a couple weeks been at the painters for a month a half now..will post pics of paint soon!

yea i know im thinking about a single turbo set up towards the end of the build..

so i got a little done over the weekend

Here's an aluminum piece i made for the gauges not sure if i will use it but i don't want to spend 200.00 on a little bezel for gauges this took me about a hour so far any input hows it look should i can it or use it?









cleaned the engine and trans up as well touched some parts up with black..







still waiting for car from the painter said it should be done next week now!! lol

Default Steering Gearbox Question

I am in the process of dropping a 2004 LS6 and T-56 from a CTS-V into my 1966 Chevelle. The factory power steering box will not clear the alternator. Have you got that far if so what box did you use?

So my car has been at the paint shop for over a year.. I went and had it towed outta there, guy went out of business and im out 1k just glad i got my car back before he skipped town.. everyone complains there's no work then there are scum bags that get work and wont do it.. so just towed over to a buddies house who is going paint it..hopefully it will get done now lol not very thrilled at the progress again..

its a 22 daytona running 96 gps with 548 putting the boat up for sale with a fi 468...so plans may be going back to the 548 in the chevelle prob is i just spent about 4k for the ls set up! so not sure what my plans are..
