Well under way on (2) LSx S10 builds now. 1st gen std. cab shortbed with a mild cam/exhaust/tune 5.3L and 4L60; and a 2nd gen std. cab shortbed with my big comp. stroker 414cid LSx + TEA CNC TFS 235's, Edelbrock ProFloXT intake, custom longtubes, RPM Level V 4L65, etc., etc...

I'm over on S10forum.com with both builds, but I'll probly make a couple threads over here too in the hybrid section.

Sorry to disappoint on the foxbody y'all, circumstances were unforseen obviously.

Wait, I think I missed something here. How is it that those builds are underway and this one was canceled?

I believe you misunderstood me. Unlike the other guy who posted before asking for pics and vids I'm one of the people who actually read the entire thread and I've been following it for quite some time. What I didn't understand was how you're able to continue 2 other builds at the same time but aren't in condition to handle this one. I'm guessing that the other 2 took preference over this one? Probably none of my buisness to know, just curious. Good luck on the other 2 builds.

Wasnt trying to come off as a ***** buddy, After I sld the Mustang due to MAJOR medical bills and no workman's comp claim, I picked up an 02 SOM M6 Z28 just to have something LS powered that's pretty nice. My 5 sliped disks got fairly worked out through months of chiropractor visits, PT, and generally taking better care of myself with proper body mechanics while working when possible. To further toss a wrench in my plans, on May 26th the Z28 was totaled on my way to work because a guy pulled out in front of me almost head-on in an intersection. I have been parting that car out since then and more than doubled my money on it. I was not SERIOUSLY injured in that accident aside from some whiplash and hurt feelings, but N.C. is a "no fault state" and I didnt have comprehensive, so I didnt see ONE DIME from the accident. At any rate, after parting out the fox, I DID KEEP the LQ4 and Callies forged stroker kit, and that's the motor for S10 #2. S10 #1 belongs to my ol' lady's son who's paid for everything but has never done any hotrodding before, so he's learning on this project.

As for precedence; well, S10's are DIRT CHEAP, and not NEARLY as involved as that foxbody was. I have done NUMEROUS SBC S10's, just not an LSx based swap. I miss my last truck, so here we are.

That oughta bring everybody up to speed, and again I wasnt trying to come off like a dick, just so used to people whoring in agreement of the last 3 or 4 replies with no clue as to what's been going on in the thread.

Thanks,

-Greg

That's it so far... The motor and tranny are being sourced as I type this, and as soon as they are on the way, the shopping spree will resume in full force.

Thanks for looking; this will be updated until finished.

Were the gauges and clamps necessary?
