Identifying L92 heads
I'm pretty confident that there's a 2nd casting number as well, a 4-digit number something like 5326 or 5323 - I used to have a set of each. But it's been a few months now, & I need to crash for the night (or else I'd look it up to confirm what the 4-digit number is).

ID L92 Heads How about pull a valve cover and verify offset rocker arms on intake valves?? Also L92 heads have rectangular rather than the traditional "cathedral" intake ports, but this would require pulling intake manifold to verify... (rocker on the right)

The Gen IV LY6 will be an iron block with 6.0L cast in the front in back. Also it will have a front VVT and cam sensor. Also the Knock senors will be on the side of the block in stead of under the intake. The LQ4/LQ9 are Gen III motors and have the rear cam sensors, knock sensors under the intake.

I just took delivery on a 08 Chevy 2500 HD LY6. I believe the head casting was something to the effect of... 5364. I can double check on Monday when I go back to work. On back of the engine on the passenger side is a casting "IV' and below it, it says "6.0"
