just picked up the Porsche from

Dan did better than I could have imagined. He is going to brace the front and run through the firewall to the door bars before it is fully finished.

Wow I've never even though about putting an LS1 in a 911. I've seen rotary swaps, I've even seen a mitsubishi turbo 4-cylinder conversion... < which did not impress me.

yesterday I sent out the harness and ecu to be rewired and programmed.
Today i am going to test fit the engine. Once the engine is in I plan on revisiting the location of the radiator.

Does anyone know what the max angle is that I can mount the radiator?

all that is left is to lift the car 30 inches and slide it in.

the 1st German part bolted onto the engine... and it didn't burst into flames...

Kinda a bitch to get the engine with one person... but it's in.

The cage allowed for me to make a strap winch system to work the engine into the transmission evenly. nice and smooth.

it still has to go up about 4 inches. I have a small clearance issue to take care of later when I am fresh and relaxed.

Thanks, i'm having fun with the build but i can't wait to "finish" it. every time I look at something I get new ideas. Tomorrow I am pulling the engine and tranny out to clean the bay, tunnel and tranny. Then paint the tranny.
I still have a 1/2" issue to deal with. I am going to see if I can buy an inch from the tranny mount plates.
If i have time I am going to mock up a radiator and start looking for placement.

made some progress today
Finally got the engine fully in.
tomorrow is mocking up the radiator.

the back is sitting right, just have to get some weight up front and put on the lower skirts and bumper.

gonna take some getting use to getting in and out.

probably should look for a shallower oil pan.

have to clean the garage...
