Default s10's using BRP/Muscle Rod headers?

Anyone using the BRP/Muscle Rod headers out there? I'm interested in the full length headers, but using the Current Performance engine mounts. Anyone use the headers with someone else's mounts?

Don't want to pay for another set of mounts.

Default Me

I have them on mine 1.75", had troubles with one tube that goes around the frame. Still not sure if it was the headers or the frame that was the problem they fit very nice outside of that. No performance results yet I haven't got it finished and out to the track yet. BTW installed engine and headers with the front end off. I don't know how much that will affect your install.

I have a set of their mid-length headers on my truck. They fit ok, had to trim lip off firewall and a bit off upper a-arm on passsenger side. Driver side fit better but not much clearance, if any, that goes around steering shaft.

Do you have any pics that you could post? My truck is assembled and running at this point. Weighing in the pros and cons right now. lol

I will be using their Mid-Lengths and thier mounts...Another member that used thier mounts and mids had some clearance issues...but that was with the older mounts and pipes....There are some guys over on S10Forum that have used the LTs with no issues and different mounts...

Current Performance Wiring stopped making their 1 7/8 Longtubes ( they fit completely inside the framerails and were coated ) or else I would've gotten those...The 1 5/8s shouldn't be a big restriction from the 1 3/4s

Here's a pic..

I just attempted to install the brp's 1 7/8 in my 82 with the carshop inc's mounts and no go not even close the back tube passenger side hits the frame like the flanges aren't in the right position and same on the 3rd tube back on the driver's side and the 2nd tube back driver's side hits the frame before the head. any ideas? I talked with the guys at brp's but they don't sound to knowlegable about there own product. Really dissapointed I think I need to contact visa and look for another company for a set of long tubes any one else make long tubes for a S10 LS swap?

This is exactly why I didnt get their headers! The mids did ook promising, but a guy I know Had to cut the those all to hell as well, so I dunno..
Hopefully the ones that are fixing to come out fit like they are suppose to, or I'll just use camaro manifolds and call it a day!
I'm not after every last hp out of my swap..

BRP has some quality products that they offer. My truck has the BRP mid-lengths, engine mounts, and crossmember. Prices are pretty over the top in my opinion
