1967 Firebird OHC 6 to Carbed 5.3 w/ TH350

For the stereo I started working on a custom cabinet/box/panel thing for the trunk where a 10" mono sub will be mounted along with a kenwood deck. I ran all the wires when I had it apart and it will be controlled from the front with an iPod. There will be 2 4x6 speakers mounted under the dash and 2 6x9s using the factory holes in the rear package tray. I've got it mounted for test fitting, but I still have to finish covering the trunk floor.
On the left will be a fire extinguisher.
I'll have more to come soon enough; I got the doors painted and am working on the fenders now!

Sorry, I meant the engine only? I have a 68 with the same motor but the block needs to be sleeved and I am looking for a whole bunch of parts and figure it may be easier to just buy another motor.
Did you mean that the Car was not for sale or the mnotor?

Well, Got the car almost completely finished (just waiting on tailpipes to get here to finish the exhaust system) so this is going to be a huge progress update. Everything is working fine for the most part. It's sure come a loong way since I got it last June.
I have installed a custom exhaust system (Made by me) with true duals with Magnaflow mufflers. Got the engine running fine, after practically rebuilding my brand new carb.
Transmission works great with the painless vacuum torque converter lockup kit. Rear end is garbage, since it's a 2.56 factory pontiac ratio (although 1600RPM at 70MPH is good on gas ), so that's the next project.
Anyway, Here's pics of how it turned out! The first car show of the season is next weekend (April 30-May 2), so for all of you in Alaska, come out to eagle river and take a look (if the weather cooperates ). I'm going to take it out there on Saturday.

I am doing almost the same swap. I noticed that when you first ran the car you were using exhaust manifolds. I am assuming those were the ones that came on the 5.3? How did they fit? Did they clear the power steering?

gorgeous car!
You've done a great job. I have a '68 that was an OHC 6 that I replaced with an injected 5.3, but I have an LS6 already painted Pontiac blue waiting on the engine stand ready to be installed in place of the 5.3. I just love the 1st gen birds. I hope you're enjoying it.
