Default Flex Plate help!
I am installing my 6.0 lq4 in my 68 442, got yhe motor mounts in and welded but then my flexplate no workie! The motor had a 4l80e behind it and I now have a 4l60e and the flex plate no work! I go to kragens and I get one for a 2002 camaro auto and it fits the converter but not the crank on the 6.0!!! HELP!!!

You sure it doesnt fit? Its kind of a tight interference fit. does the crank bolt pattern line up to the flex plate bolt pattern?

You also may end up needing a crank spacer, and sloting your torque converter bolt holes on the flexplate... i just went through some **** trying to get my setup to work....

Why would it need a spacer? Its a ls style trans! The 4l80 flexplate does not match the converter bolts and the camaro 4L60 flexplate won't bolt on the snout of the crank of the 6.0

what is preventing the 4L60E flexplate from bolting to the crank? Pics would help also.

No spacer is needed, the car one should bolt on. Make sure they gave you the right one.

maybe the person at kragens punched in 92 instead of 02.some of those kids dont know a headlight from a tail light.
